Findhorn opening ceremony

The opening of the 2024 salmon and sea trout fishing season is nearly upon us. The Forres Angling Association will be hosting the annual opening ceremony on Monday 12th February 2024 at 1pm at the Stoney Pool. Everyone is welcome to come along, there will be refreshments provided and we hope to see the first fish of the season caught!

As many will be aware, there was another outbreak of disease in Spring fish on the river Findhorn last year and it is important that anyone fishing the river considers biosecurity measures to try and prevent further outbreaks.

Atlantic Salmon are under threat and anglers can play an integral role in protecting the health and welfare of fish by following best practice guidance. More information about this and more can be found on our website here.
