Findhorn, Nairn and Lossie Rivers Trust
The Findhorn, Nairn and Lossie Rivers Trust developed their latest Management Plan in 2021, the purpose of this plan was to outline the priorities of the Trust for the next five years. Six areas were identified: Climate Crisis, River Habitat and Use, Biosecurity and Invasive Non-Native Species, Fish and Fisheries, Marine and Inshore Environment and Education and Publicity.
The Trust has a number of projects which have now come to an end but provided great impact and experience and some of these may be replicated in the future.
There are also several ongoing projects which the Trust continues to be actively involved in and these are an important part of the work of the organisation.
One of the most exciting things to come out of the Management Plan was the development of new projects aimed at furthering the Trust’s aims to tackle the six priority areas laid out in the Plan. This has led to the Trust being at the forefront of a catchment restoration movement which we hope will provide momentum and inspiration to people looking to help mitigate the effects of the climate crisis on our world.
